About Scenic View
Scenic View sits on 100 hilltop acres in West Winfield, New York, about 30 minutes from Cooperstown. The view is how people find us and it is why they come back. On a clear evening the whole valley turns gold while dinner is still cooking. Close enough to Cooperstown for a day at the ballpark. Far enough that you sleep somewhere quiet.
Stay a while
We have 91 sites, open May through October. Full hook-up RV pads with 30 and 50 amp service, water and electric sites, and shady tent sites tucked back in the woods. Come for a night, take a monthly site, or hold a seasonal site and make this your summer.
If a tent or camper is not your thing, our four log cabins sleep six, with memory foam mattresses, full linens, a kitchenette, and a private bathroom. Bring a bag. We will handle the rest.
Sit down and eat
Nobody should have to get back in the car to find dinner.
Mornings start at the Panoramic Cafe, our espresso bar in the camp store, proudly pouring Utica Coffee with fresh baked goods.
Nights belong to the Bar & Grill. Burgers, wings, and pizza on house-made dough. Karaoke on Wednesday, trivia on Thursday, fish fry on Friday, prime rib on Saturday, and a new run of specials every month that folks come back for week after week until they are gone. We cater off site too, if you are hosting something at your place.
We are open to the public year-round, and the tables fill up with campers and neighbors sitting side by side. That is exactly how we want it.
Regardless of how far you drive in from, everyone is a local at Scenic View.
Play
Kids run the swimming beach and the playground until somebody makes them come eat. The rest of the hill fills in around that. A catch and release fishing pond, free paddle boats, more than 10 miles of wooded trails, a driving range, an arcade, and courts for basketball and volleyball. Themed weekends every month, with movie nights, kids crafts, and bingo all season long.
Or turn a chair west and do none of it. Nobody here is going to rush you.

The Scenic View Event Center is 1,800 square feet, heated, and open year-round, expanding to 150 guests under a framed tent. In-house catering, a full bar, and cabins right on the property.
Weddings, reunions, showers, company retreats, and holiday parties, all through one point of contact.
